Cadres of Raitu-Kamson gang and Athuan Abonmei, president ZB had on January 26 celebrated 72nd Republic Day cum 106th Birth Anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu with Indian Army at Pongringlong village, ZUF stated.
Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) on Friday decried “the current twisting and distorting elements of moral corruption being reflected in social and print media by defected Raitu Chawang and S Kamson gang in the pretext of ZUF.”
This has created public confusion concerning who must be responsible for the recent incidents that occurred at Pongringlong (Konnungjang) Village, Kangpokpi district Manipur, a release signed by information and publicity secretary KD Gangmei stated.
Sufficient evidential proofs have been substantiated by photos and video clips of their involvement and their alliance with the motivated Indian Army, it stated. It is a fact that cadres of Raitu-Kamson gang and Athuan Abonmei, president ZB had on January 26 celebrated 72nd Republic Day cum 106th Birth Anniversary of Rani Gaidinliu with Indian Army at Pongringlong (Konnungjang) village, it stated.
After ADC/SDO Noney was attacked on February 2, and extortion and gunfire in broad daylight in public places occured on February 5, one civilian was beaten black and blue on February 7, it stated.
It stated that the general public witnessed the said gang continuously terrorizing the Pongringlong area for months. Blaming the ZUF led by Jenchui Kamei is a desperate attempt to blame and save themselves from being convicted in public openly, it added.
The ZUF expressed warm homecoming of armed cadres to the fold of ZUF on the basis of accepting the truth and principle of the organisation to be the only true and legitimate body and authority to take the legacy of the freedom fighters of the Zeliangrong people, it stated. The home comers are self-styled speaker John Pame of Raitu Chawang-S Kamson group, captain Rachunlung Gangmei from NNC and Pte Pantilung Gangmei from NSCN-IM, it added.
