The feast began with the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday night at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lamphoupasna Village, led by the priest-in-charge, Fr Jose SDB.
Marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion and death at Calvary on Good Friday, Easter Sunday was also widely observed in Christian-dominated Kangpokpi District in Manipur.
