Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR (South), conducted ‘Know Your Army Mela’ at Dalpati Ground, Gate No 1, Moreh Town, Tengnoupal district, Manipur on Saturday.
The event was organised with an aim to impart career counselling to students and motivate youth to join the armed forces and to make people aware about the latest technologies and weapons used by security forces.
The event was attended by CVOs, youth wings and students’ organisations of all the societies of multi ethnic towns of Moreh. A large number of motivated youths, school students, orphanages and villagers in and around Moreh also enthusiastically participated in the awareness programme on armed forces and ways to join them.
The programme included demonstration of weapons and equipment, career counselling gallery, motivational movie, jazz band performance and a dog show demonstrating anti-explosives and narcotics drills.
