In their continued efforts to serve the locals and motivate youth to join the armed forces including Assam Rifles, Churachandpur battalion of Assam Rifles organised a 'Know Your Forces Mela' at P Sejol village, Henglep sub-division of Churachandpur district on Tuesday.
Young boys and girls who are willing to join the Indian Army or Assam Rifles were invited through CVOs and social media platforms. During the event, sophisticated weapons and equipment were displayed elaborately.
The youths were also given information about nuances of the recruitment procedures, including aspects from document inspection to medical fitness, physical and academic ability requirements for joining the forces. Youth from the remote area were also guided and motivated to aim for future recruitment rallies.
