Long-tailed broadbill released

The bird was released at the sacred site Kangla

An endangered bird ‘Long-tailed Broadbill’ was released by members of Wildlife Conservation Committee (WCC) on Sunday at Kangla sacred site.

The endangered bird was rescued from the residence of Maibam Premkanta of Khurai Lairikyengbam Maning Leikai by secretary of WCC, Kshetrimayum Johnson and Forest Beat Officer, Koirengei Thompson Hawaibam.

The bird was later released at the sacred site Kangla in presence of SP Sashikanta. Ksh Johnson appealed to the public to support in protecting wildlife.
