India’s leading automaker Mahindra and Mahindra on Friday unveiled the Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV, its first ever electric SUV that is claimed to offer a driving range of 456 kilometres on a single charge as per Indian driving cycle standards (MIDC).
The test drive for the Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV will begin later this year in December in phase wise in 16 cities namely Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh, Kochi.
The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV will be officially launched in January 2023 when the pre-booking and delivery will also be done in the same month; bookings can be done via Mahindra dealership or online.
The Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV comes with a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery and is claimed to offer a driving range of 456 kilometres on a single charge with a top speed of 160 km/hr. The EV also delivers best-in-class torque output of 310 Nm helping to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds. Further equipped with the 50kW DC fast charger, the electric SUV will take less than an hour to charge upto 80 per cent.
As for dimensions, the Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV measures 4200 mm in length, 1821 mm in width and a wheelbase of 2600 mm with a maximum boot space of 418 litres.
