Under the leadership of MHRC’s acting chairperson Khaidem Mani, the officials of MHRC started the sitting camp on January 27.
An official team of the Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) led by acting chairperson Khaidem Mani will visit Jiribam district from January 27 to 30.
Despite multiple proposals made, the government is yet to fulfil the demands, Khaidem Mani said.
Despite the shortages in manpower, MHRC has disposed 70 cases out of 300 registered cases in two years, Mani said.
MHRC acting chairperson Khaidem Mani stated that the commission is constrained to reproduce the preamble to the Constitution of India for sensitizing all.
The difficulties faced by MHRC in the last few years were disclosed by its acting chairperson Khaidem Mani at a press briefing in Imphal on Saturday.
