There will be no need for testing prior to discharge, the Manipur government said in a statement on Saturday.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday said the state government will intensify monitoring of home isolation patients in the state.
CM Biren said that the Grievance Cell is being opened especially for COVID-19 patients undergoing home isolation.
The state's total tally rose to 20,558 cases and the death toll reached 192 on Monday.
Considering the number of tests done daily, the positivity rate is quite high. That is exactly why, the Imphal Free Press had earlier talked about starting sero-surveillance in the state. But, the more important question now is how many families have the facilities as laid down in the guidelines for home isolation in the state.
There are 1,088 COVID positive patients, who are under home isolation as per the records till October 14, the advisor (health) to CM said.
Pregnant women and minors (below 10 years) who are asymptomatic will be considered on priority, the health department stated.
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit 8,767,991 people and claimed the lives of 462,715 people across the world. In India, the total number of COVID-19 infected cases has risen to 396,182 and caused 12,970 deaths so far.
