YWC Langthabal pulled off a 1 wicket win over PCC Mayaikoibi in the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2021-22 played at ABA Ground, Khetrigao.

PCC batsman took to the crease after winning the toss where they failed to flourish except for Max and Vikash who managed an identical 18 runs each, to put up 97 runs for 8 wickets from 30 limited overs. YWC bowler Robinson bagged 3 wickets while Yohenba claimed 2 wickets.

YWC Langthabal batsman fumbled with the bowling attack of the PCC bowler but managed to squeeze through to make 98 runs for 9 wickets from 23.3 overs with Thoithoiba top scoring with 17 runs. S Robinson and Albert struck an identical 11 runs each. PCC bowler Ajay claimed 3 wickets while Paikhomba, Anjan grabbed 2 wickets each. YWC player S Robinson was declared the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets and 11 runs.

In the other match played at YCWO Ground, Heinoupok, YUCC Kwakiethel Moirang Purel beat PTRC Patsoi by 176 runs.

YUCC flourished with the bat with Thoiba scoring 139 runs from 63 balls while Ricky stood with 34 runs to post a huge score of 259 runs for 9 wickets from 27.4 overs. PTRC bowler Stoneson, Nongdamba, despite getting hammered, managed to fetch 3 wickets each while Tamarland got 2 wickets.

Chasing the target, PTRC batsmen were bundled out for 83 runs for 10 wickets from 23.3 overs. Tamarland managed 21 runs while Nongdamba got 12 runs. YUCC bowler Joyhenba claimed 3 wickets while teammate Thoiba was later handed down the Man of the Match award for his 139 runs knock.
