The 27th edition of the National Thang-Ta Championship 2021-22 began at the Indoor Sports Complex, Jammu on Saturday.

A total of 140 Thang-Ta players from Manipur are participating in the meet which was inaugurated by Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir along with Huidrom Premkumar, Grand Master/President, World Thang-Ta Federation,  Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council and Vinod Sharma, Secretary, Thang-Ta Federation of India.

Demonstration of Thang-Ta martial arts and colorful display of balloons marked the opening day function along with bouts later in the evening.
