PTRC Patsoi Part III beat TRAU Kwakeithel by 4 wickets in the 1st MNCA under 14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 played at PCC, Mayaikoibi Ground, Imphal West.
After a disastrous start for TRAU, tailenders Ishorchandra Loitongjam lifted the game making a decent 42 runs from 22 balls to post 116 runs for 10 wickets from 28.5 overs. Preethson Arubam was the other batsman who contributed 10 runs, being the only two batsmen who crossed double figure mark in the inning.
PTRC bowlers Devas Tongbram, Somobanta, Ch Nikhil bagged 2 wickets each while Sayonba and Dhirendrakishore took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target, PTRC opener made steady progress with Dhirendrakishore making 29 runs while middle order batsman Ch Nikhil got 27 runs to surpass the mark in 15.2 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Ambison Salam remained not out with 20 runs along with Karnajit to make 12 runs, to guide the team to victory.
TRAU bowler G Shivestian Sharma claimed 4 wickets while Swabhiman and Indrakumar got 1 wicket each. Later Ch Nikhil Meetei was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his 27 runs and 2 wickets haul.
