THAU Thangmeiband registered their third win beating PTRC Patsoi by a massive 216 runs in the ongoing 2nd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2023-24 played at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
Batting on their home turf, THAU put up a modest total of 302/5 from 30 overs masterminded by top order batsman Niruta Thoudam who strucks 156 runs off 84 balls. She was honoured with the ‘Player of the Match’ title for her match winning knock. While, Patsoi bowlers Tolika Devi, L Anjali, Kh Anjali and L Linthoi claimed 1 wicket each.
However, PTRC did not last long in their innings as they were bowled out for 86/10 from 27.5 overs. Skipper Kh Anjali top scored with14 runs. THAU bowlers K Nonibala fetched 3 wickets while H Malemkhombi and Seterny Devi took 2 wickets each.
In another match, PTCC Patsoi mauled Shadow Thangmeiband by 10 wickets to garner their second win at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, Imphal East. Shadow managed to put up 23/10 from 12.5 overs and in reply, PTCC Patsoi reached the target in 2.3 overs without any loss of wickets.
PTCC bowler Angoubi Devi Khundrakpam claimed 4 wickets and was declared ‘Player of the Match’. Teammates Niruka, Bandana and Sanaloo Devi took 2 wickets each.
