Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom lifted the champion title bagging 35 medals in the 31st State Thang-Ta Championship 2021 which concluded at Thang-Ta Shanglen at Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West.
Thang-Ta Maheikol finished the championship with 16 gold, 10 silver and nine bronze medals. They were trailing at the second spot after Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta till Thursday and added four gold, five silver and three bronze medals on Friday for the top title.
The second spot was claimed by Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok with 17 gold, five silver and four bronze medals while Pahulasi Mayaikoibi settled for the third spot with eight gold, nine silver and 10 bronze medals. Luwang Thang-Ta Academy, Khurai took the fourth spot with six gold, three silver and seven bronze medals and ANJIKA Sangaiporou collected the fifth spot with five gold, five silver and five bronze medals.
The best fighter of the Sub-Junior Boys title was claimed by H Priyobrata of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta while Nandita Thiyam of Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association, Khongman took the best fighter in Sub-Junior girls category. As for the Junior Boys, M Thoisana of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo fetched the best fighter title while K Thaja Chanu of Thoibi Thang-Ta Cultural Association, Moirang got the best fighter title for girls.
The senior men best fighter title was bagged by H Manganleiba Meetei of Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom while L Sophiya Chanu of the same unit was conferred the best senior women fighter of the meet. The best coach title was awarded to Huidrom Kirankumar of Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom.
