Technical chairman of Thang-Ta Federation of India, Huidrom Premkumar, has left for Kerala to impart assistance during the two-day Thang-Ta Martial Arts Training Camp in Kerala from November 4-5, 2023.
Premkumar will be assisted by TTFI president during the camp at Uama Martial Arts Academy Mattannur organised by Thang-Ta Association of Kerala.
The Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, in a release, stated that despite getting the recognition and featuring in the Khelo India Youth Games held at Haryana and Madhya Pradesh, still the dreams of the players are yet to be fulfilled.
It has participated in so many National but the elusive dreams of making it as one of the disciplines in National Games and Olympic remains to be fulfilled, but the quest will continue by all involved. If the state government had a firm stand to back the Thang-Ta event, it could have been an event in the ongoing 37th National Games at Goa, it rued.
