Nirmala Rani High School, Imphal West registered their second win beating St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Tengoupal by 3-0 goals in the ongoing U-14 Boys of the 62nd State Level Subroto Cup International Football Tournament 2023 played at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak.
St Joseph School had managed just one win from two matches. Wasting little time in the match, Alibas proved his worth by getting the first goal innthe 9th minute to enjoy the lead. Though St Joseph tried hard, seeking the equaliser, they failed to control their shots.
Nirmala Rani School pushed more strongly in the closing moment of the game with Jenin fetching the second goal in the 50th minute and later Naoton brought up the winning goal in the 60th+3 minute, to stand tall with 6 points from two matches.
In the second match, Unique Model Academy, Heingang Imphal East beat Kakching Wairi High School by a solitary goal. Priyokumar Singh produced the lone winning goal in the second half play of 35th minute.
As for the U-17 Boys, TG English School, Bishnupur thrashed St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Tengoupal by 3-0 goals. TG School rigorous run in the first half proved fruitful as Khambaton found the opening goal in 3rd minute of play.
Giving little breathing space to its opponent, Suraj Singh quick fired in the 4th and 12th minute to hold their reign in the match for the win. CT Higher Secondary School, Imphal West pull off a solitary goal win over Heirok Higher Secondary School to garner full points. Monex proved to be the Hero for CT School as he scored the all-important goal in 50th minute of the game.
