State Level Boxing Championship 2022: Bikash floor Langamba to clinch gold

Bishnupur boxer Bikash floored Langamba Meitei to claim gold medal in Junior Boys 57kg category of the State Level Boxing Championship 2022 (XXIX Junior Boys & XIII Junior Girls) organised by the Manipur Amateur Boxing Association at Boxing Ring Khuman Lampak.

Khomdram Bikash Singh was severely landing his punches against M Langamba Meitei of Imphal East and the referee had to stop the contest in the 2nd round in favour of Bikash Singh for the gold medal while Langamba had to contend with the silver.

As for the Junior Boys 46kg final bout, Md Mujahid of Kakching beat M Nikison of Imphal East by 4-1 points to claim the gold and silver medal while in final bout of the 48kg, Mashungchul Phungshok of Ukhrul overcame A Ronaldo Meitei of Bishnupur by 5-0 points for the gold medal.

The other gold medallist of the day in Junior Boys category are Md Miraj of Kakching who beat M Yaikhomba of Imphal East by 5-0 points in 52 kg bout, Punshiba Moirangthem of Thoubal overcoming A Sakil of Kakching by 3-2 points in 60 kg bout, S Allar Singh of Imphal West who beat Rengneivar Serto Kom of Imphal West by 5-0 points in 63kg and L Binod Kumar of Imphal West who won by a comfortable margin of 5-0 point against T Borish of Bishnupur in 66kg final bout.
