In commemoration of Police Day and Rastriya Ekta Divas 2023, an Inter-Village Volleyball Tournament 2023 was organised by Chandel District Police at Mini Secretariat Complex, Chandel.
Altogether, 13 teams are taking part in the tournament which kicked off on Tuesday. The tournament was graced by Mayanglambam Rajkumar, IAS, DC Chandel as Chief Guest.
In the preliminary matches on Tuesday, Thotchanram Youth Club beat 21 AR Modi by 2-0 sets while Chandel Christian beat VDF by 2-0 sets, Chumbang Youth Club beat Khuringmul YC by 2-1 sets, Mantri Pantha bear Liwa Maring by 2-1 sets, 8MR Leikun beat chakpi karong by 2-0 sets.
As for the quarter final matches, Chandel Police beat Kapaam Veteran by 2-1 sets to move into the semi-final. Thotchanram YC beat Chumbang YC by 2-0 sets, 8 MR Leikun beat Japhou YC by 2-0 sets and Mantri Pantha defeated Chandel Christian by 2-0 sets to make their way to the semi-final as well.
