Puducherry bats to 8 wickets victory over Manipur in the Senior Women's T-20 League 2021-22 played at ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwahati.

Winning the toss, Manipur made a shaky start as they lost two wickets for 9 runs but skipper Ganga Devi Waikhom tried to salvage the situation but failed to lift the game as she was out for 21 runs from 31 balls. Loidangton Th came in and made 19 runs but the innings came to a grinding halt at 67 runs for 10 wickets from 18.5 overs.

Puducherry bowlers Janaki, Rebecca, Abirame R took 2 wickets each while Rozario fetched 1 wicket.

Puducherry reached the target easily in 10.4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets with Amruta Saran making an unbeaten 9 runs while Yuvashri yet to open her account. BS Tamore got 41 runs for 30 balls while skipper Rozario made 11 runs for the victory.  Manipur bowler Milan Y claimed 2 wickets for 20 runs from 3.4 overs.

Shooter Asish for Berlin Championship

Shooter K Asish Sharma has been selected to participate in the Lapua International Shooting Competition of Berlin 2022 which is scheduled to be held in Germany from April 25 to May 1, 2022. Asish Sharma will be leaving Manipur on April 23 for the championship venue, according to a press statement from Shooter Welfare Association.

Hockey Squad for Goa

Manipur Hockey has named an 18 member squad for the 12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship 2022 to be held at Goa from May 4-15.

The playing members are S Basu, Th Avinash, Alish Sapam, Revaldo Laishram, Pritam Laishram, Don Ng, N Suraj, Bidyacharan, L Max, Dilip K, O Lanthoiba, Ksh Borish, S Borish, Sanjit K, Bikram K, M Benarjit, Samson S and Sishikanta Soraisham. The team will be led by M Rinash Meitei as Coach cum Manager.
