The Imphal West District Football Association will be organising the 22nd S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament 2022 from July 31 and 27th LSangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2022 from August 1 onwards.
The entry fees of the both the league is Rs 5,000 and the Manager Meeting will be held on July 25, 2022 at 8 am at IWDFA at Mapal Kangjeibung office. Registration form can be collected from July 16 onward and is to be submitted on or before July 20, 2022.
YAWA(B) pulls off opening wins in Senior Men's State Sepaktakraw
YAWA(B) got the better of SAI RC(A) by 2-1 sets in the 36th Senior Men's and Women's State Sepaktakraw Championship 2022 which got underway at YAWA Hall, Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai.
MAHUD and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Minister, Y. Khemchand inaugurated the meet along with SAI STC Imphal, Deputy Director and Dronacharya Awardee, L. Ibomcha.
The league round of the Men's Regu event of the meet saw the host team YAWA(B) met stiff opposition from SAI RC team but the former managed to get their way to collect full points with 21-15, 19-21, 21-19 points.
In the other matches, IMSUC Heingang beat YAWA(A) by 2-0 sets with 21-11 and 21-10 points while MPSC(C) beat its sister concern MPSC(A) by 2-0 sets with 21-17 and 21-17 points, PUC(A) Kairang beat SAI RC(B) by 21-12 and 21-18 points and SAI RC(B) beat PUC Kairang by 21-13 and 21-4 points to garner full points.
AMFA Football trials
The AMFA has informed that Pink Panthers FC, Bangalore will be conducting football trials for women players of 15 years and above age category on July 2-3 at 7.30 am at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong. The Pink Panthers FC, Bangalore is Women's Super Division Club and will provide Free Education, Coaching and Stipend for those selected players during the trial.
