Sagolband United drubbed KLASA Keinou by 4-0 goals in the 12th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial CRPF Football Tournament 2021-22 played at Turf Ground, SAI Sports Complex, Takyel.

KLASA Keinou seems completely lost in the game as nothing seems right to ample opportunity they got quite early in the game. But Sagolband United grits proved far more superior as Paokhongam strikes the opening goal in 29th minute of play.

Making matters worse for its opponent, Sagolband United drove in further nails with N Binan picking up the second goal in 59 minute and later it was left to Ch Chandrakumar who pumped home two goals in 63rd minute and 84th minute to push out KLASA Keinou out of the tournament. Sagolband United player Paokhongam got a yellow card in the match.

In the other match, WAFA Wangoi shunned MPSC Police HQ by 5-3 goals during penalty shootout after both teams were locked with 1-1 goals during normal time.

WAFA Wangoi started the onslaught early in the game with N Robert banging home the opening goal in the 4rd minute of play. But MPSC rode back into the game with Th Chingkheinganba fetching the equalizer in the 53rd minute to level 1-1 goals.

With both teams having a stalemate without any further goal, the ultimate kicks from penalty mark were brought into play where WAFA players Md Esha, Kh Pravada, K Rishikanta and L Ajit converted their kicks while W Alex shot wide. As for the MPSC team, Kh Naoba and K Benjamin managed to beat the keeper while Fimate, K Umakanta kicks were off target for the defeat.

Four MPSC players Boyboysana, L Rishikanta, Haokhoset, L Ajit and WAFA players K Rishikanta, H Sanutellyson were booked with yellow cards from referee T Hemanta for reckless play.
