Sagolband United continue to enjoy the lead beating Young Physique Union, Lalambung by 5-0 goals in the 15th Manipur State League 2022 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The win put Sagolband United ahead of Group A with 20 points from nine matches, including six wins, two draws and one lost match while Young Physique Union is with 10 points.

Sagolband United motto of strike as fast as you can, rules the first half game with Ronik Singh Moirangthem hitting the target in 8 minute and 11 minute to dominate the proceedings. Just before the whistle, Th Lenin struck the third goal in 45+3 minute.

With the striking capability of Young Physique Union going haywire, Sagolband United rushed things up with substitute player Th Priyojit Singh pushing home two more goals in 85 minute and 88 minute for the victory. Two SU players Lamyanba, Premananda and YPHU player Taibanganba got yellow cards in the match.

Manipur Police Sports Club held on defending champion KLASA Keinou by 1-1 goals to share a point each. S.Dhanachandra scored for KLASA in the first half while Ngamkhohen Kipgen fetched the equaliser in the second half.

MPSC is now armed with 12 points while YPHU have got 10 points from nine matches.

KIYC Khetrigao beat Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation by 3-0 goals to grab full points. Ng.Naocha, Somison Shirak and K.Jim scored a goal each for the KIYC team.

KIYC tops the Group B league tally collecting 19 points while DM Rao is with 13 points from seven matches.
