Sagolsem Gelison Singh, son of Sagolsem Surjit Singh of Soibam Leikai, Imphal East secured 3 Gold and 1 Silver in the 7th National Finswimming Championship in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Hosted by USAI Unit Rajasthan Khel Gaon Swimming Pool Udaipur, Rajasthan under the aegis of Underwater Sports Association of India (USAI), affiliated to Confédération Mondiale Des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), the 7th National Finswimming Championship was held from July 19 to 21, 2024.
In the Men’s Senior Category, Gelison clinched three Gold medals by finishing the 50m Bi fin in 23.44 seconds, 100m Bi fin in 53.25 seconds, and 200m Bi fin in 2:00.72 minutes respectively. He grabbed another silver by finishing the 400m Bi fin in 4:44.25 minutes.
He will represent India in the Finswimming World Cup Round 4 in September in Phuket, Thailand.
