Thirty referees of Chandel district attended a two-day Referees Fitness Test and Refreshers Course which began at the Conference Hall, Limkhu Inn Hotel, Japhou Bazar hosted by DSA Chandel under All Manipur Football Association.
For the exercise, the All Manipur Football Association deputed Ex FIFA Referee M Magho Singh as Instructor while Tharchung Chara, Borlee Nungchim and Wilpelngam Nula (all Match Commissioners of AMFA) as Assistant Instructors.
The practical session will be held at Liwa Sarei Village ground Wednesday. Out of the 30referees in attendance, six are women referees.
District Sports Association, Chandel president TS Chamna Anal along with vice president Lovingson Anal, vice president Th Albert Chothe, general secretary DSA Chandel Th Joyson M Monsang, assistant secretary DSA, Chandel Ng Beling Moyon and Joyshing Monsang assistant secretary, DSA, Chandel graced the opening function.
TS. Chamna Anal while lauding the initiative of AMFA and M Magho for his service said, despite the present turmoil gripping the state, we are indebted to them for their readiness to impart training to boys and girls of the district for a better tomorrow. He also urged all referees to dedicate and give their best in order to become good professional referees.
