PCC Mayaikoibi, AKSDO Khangabok register huge wins

PCC Mayaikoibi had an easy picking, beating PTRC Patsoi by 8 wickets in the 2nd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2023-24.

PCC Mayaikoibi had an easy picking, beating PTRC Patsoi by 8 wickets in the 2nd MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy 2023-24 played at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampakm Imphal East.

PTRC cut a sorry figure after they were sent to bat first, managing 97 runs for 10 wickets from 33.3 overs. Preety Lama top scored with an unbeaten 14 runs. PCC bowlers H Lingjen Devi, N Langlenthoibi Chanu, Victoria Th and Y Nikita Chanu claimed 2 wickets each.

Chasing the target, PCC made it in 16 overs at the expense of 2 wickets. Openers A Tennis Devi and A Inao made an identical 22 runs while O Yashika remained not out with 12 runs for the victory. PCC skipper Langlenthoibi Chanu took the ‘Player of the Match’ title for her 2 wickets.

In another match, AKSDO Khangabok batted to 264 runs win over Al-Ameen, Lilong at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.

Batting first, AKSDO mastered a huge score of 286 runs for 7 wickets from 35 overs with opener Taniya Ningthoujam scoring 83 runs from 66 balls, while Rabina Kh remained unbeaten with 31 runs. Al-Ameen bowler Najiya Begum claimed 4 wickets.

In reply, Al-Ameen batsmen were dismissed cheaply for 22 runs for 10 wickets from 7.2 overs. AKSDO bowlers Alish Thokchom and Rabina Khundrakpam grabbed 5 wickets each and the latter was awarded ‘Player of the Match’.
