Northeast Women's Football Tournament 2022: Mizoram Black Bears to meet Nagaland Wild Hogs today

Playing their first match in the tournament, Manipur Sangais put up a brave fight to put up a win against Nagaland Wild Hogs in the 1st North East Women's Football Tournament 2022.

Manipur Sangais beat Nagaland Wild Hogs by a solitary goal in the 1st North East Women's Football Tournament 2022 played at Turf Ground, SAI NERC at Takyelpat, Imphal West.

Playing their first match in the tournament, Manipur Sangais had to put up a brave fight as Nagaland Wild Hogs were equally competitive, to render the first half goalless.

However, with crowd support cheering for them, Manipur Sangais made a desperate lunge in the second half and got the break when S Rinaroy struck the winning blow in the 44th minute for the victory today.

Manipur Sangais player Y Kiranbala Devi got booked with a yellow card for reckless foul in the match.

In another match, Sikkim Pandas claimed a solitary goal win against Mizoram Black Bears to collect full points as well. The lone winning goal for Sikkim was scored by Musken Subba in the 2nd minute of play. Sujana Rai of Sikkim got a yellow card booking in the match.

In tomorrow's matches, Sikkim Pandas will play Manipur Sangais at 12.30 pm while Mizoram Black Bears will meet Nagaland Wild Hogs at 3 pm.
