Brilliant Academy Melaground, Thoubal beat Thaimei Guiganpou English School, Bishnupur by 11-1 goals in the 39th Nehru Sub-Junior U-15 Boys District Level Hockey Tournament 2022 organised by Youth Affairs and Sports, Manipur at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

The opening match of the tournament proved to be a one sided game as Thoubal controlled the turf, scoring 3 goals in the first quarter; seven goals in second quarter and one goal in fourth quarter for the win. Eight schools are participating in the U-15 Boys category.

Manipur Hockey president Kh Loyalakpa and YAS Manipur director T Phulen Meitei attended the opening function.
