Sintakpurel (head guru) of Kanglei Enat Thang-Ta Shindam Sanglen Laitanthem Ibomcha on Tuesday stressed on the need to promote Manipuri Thang-Ta at the international level with support from the people.
He was speaking at the closing function of ‘Festival of Thang Ta with special focus on Thangbi Sakok Sading’ at KCDO hall in Imphal East district.
Thangbi Sakok Sading is a part of the Manipuri Thang-Ta which was practiced during the times of hunting in the olden days, he mentioned. A student has to learn the art form while learning the Manipuri Thang-Ta, he added.
While learning, each student should follow the strict discipline of Manipuri Thang-Ta including its rules and regulations regarding food and others, he mentioned.
