The four-day National Thang-Ta Technical Officials and Coaches Training 2024 concluded at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom.
The training focused on Manual & Digital, Score, Result and nitty gritty on Thanglon, Khonglon-Khutlon and Thang-Haiba to sixty participants from the state as well from the rest of the country.
Trainees from Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Bihar, Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and host state Manipur demonstrated their skills during the session.
State Kala Akademi Awardee & President, Langol Lukhoi Thang-Ta Sindamshang, Laishram Ibomcha Khuman; Technical Chairman, Thang-Ta Federation of India, Huidrom Premkumar Singh and Former Secretary, Thang-Ta Federation of India, Thounaojam Priyokumar Singh attended the valedictory event.
Participants and dignitaries also observed 91st Thang-Ta Revival Day 2024 and paid floral tributes to late Sintakpurel RK Sanahal during the event.
Kang match postponed
The day match between Langmeidong Kangkhut Hiyanglam Kendra and Uchekon Kangkhut Thonju Kendra of the ongoing 24th Arambam Samarendra Ningshing Kang Tournament 2024 was postponed due to inconveniences owing to the prevailing flood situation.
KKCO Keishamthong Kendra Kanglhut is slated to play against Maramba Hiyanglam Kendra Kangkhut on Friday’s match.
Meanwhile, the ongoing Imphal East District Boxing Champion 2024 at Boxing Ring Khuman Lampak has also been postponed.
