Manipur enter the semi final of the Women's Football beating Mizoram by a huge margin of 5-0 goals in the 36th National Games 2022 played at Shahibagh Police Ground at Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

There was a dearth of medals for Manipur on the seventh day of the Games as most the events happen to be qualifying rounds including Boxing, Football etc.

Renowned striker Ng.Bala Devi opened the goal account for Manipur in 7 minute of play while I.Premeshwori Devi strucks two goals in 12 minute and 23 minute and later Roja scored the fourth goal in 25 minute and Pakpi Devi picks up the winning goal in 45 minute for the resounding win, enroute to the final.

It can be mentioned that, Manipur had beaten Tamil Nadu by 5-2 goals in their opening match and later beat Goa by 4-0 goals.

In the Women Boxing, Konthoujam Pravish Chanu beat Ritu of Chandigarh to make her way to the quarter final of 57-60 kg bout held at Exhibition Hall, Mahatma Mandir Gandhinagar.

The medals tally remained the same as that of yesterday with 13 Gold, 5 Silver and 11 Bronze medals.
