Napsa Kha Imphal batted their way to the final of the 20th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2023-24 beating LCCC Lilong Chajing by 9 wickets at Langthabal Public Ground, Imphal West on Thursday. 
 
The first semifinal witnessed a low scoring game as LCCC managed a paltry 89 runs for 10 wickets from 24.4 overs. Sanjit top scored with 23 runs and LCCC missed the service of Jilla Singh who has been banned for two years by MVCA for his errant behaviour during a match of the ongoing tournament. 
 
Napsa bowler Gopal bagged 3 wickets while Bhogen, Simon, Ratan picked up 2 wickets each. 
 
It was an easy chase for Napsa as they edged past the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Somorendro got 35 runs while Simon made an unbeaten 28 runs and the latter was awarded Man of the Match for his 2 wickets haul as well. 
 
The second semifinal will have Shadow Thangmeiband taking on YWC Langthabal on Friday. 
 
In the meantime, the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association will be organising the 11th Manipur Veteran Cricket T-20 Tournament 2024 from January 21, 2024 at Langthabal Public Ground.
