MPSC(C) will test their shooting skills against X-Polo Club, Wangkhei in the final on Sunday of the 37th Men's State Level Polo Tournament 2022 organised by All Manipur Polo Association at Iroisemba Kangjeibung, Imphal West.
The first semi final saw MPSC(C) pitied against its sister concern MPSC(B) where the former made a mincemeat with a 10-3 goals victory. The victor MPSC(C) struck in every chukker of the game with seasoned rider S Bimol Singh shooting in five goals while skipper M Jawan struck home three goals, S. Abungcha and T Roshan Singh chip in with one goal each.
As for MPSC(B) team, Th Ranjit Singh hammered two goals in the first chukker and skipper O Suresh fetched one goal in third chukker.
In the second semi final, X-Polo Club, Wangkhei gallops with 10-5 goals against Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club.
The X-Polo Club, who had gained quite a reputation in the last three years, cracked the opening goal from Leishemba Takhellambam for the lead but Chingkheihunba rider L Thomson fetched the equaliser in the first chukker itself.
However X-Polo Club, let loose from the second chukker as they drove three goals each in the remaining chukkers with L Atangba hammering six goals while P Ojit Singh drove home two goals and Th Jacob fetched one goal for the victory.
Chingkheihunba skipper Th Kaoba flicks home two goals while O Rozer and H Muhindro got one goal each.
