THAU Thangmeiband skipper Thoithoibi continued her blistering form to romp home her team with 91 runs victory over Al-Ameen, Lilong in the ongoing 1st MNCA Women's U-15 Tournament 2023-24 played at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong Lamsang.
Pairing up with Viviene Laishram who top scored with 49 runs, Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam made 33 runs to put her team in comfortable position of 179/4 from 30 overs. K Nonibala contributed 23 runs to the team total.
Al-Ameen bowlers WM Rabiya, Bema Devi, Najiya Begum and L Langlenthoibi claimed 1 wicket each.
However Al-Ameen in their reply, failed to get a firm foothold and crashed out for 88/10 from 17 overs. Saliha top scored with 20 runs. THAU bowler Thoithoibi Ahongsangbam claimed 4 wickets and was later adjudged 'Player of the Match' while RK Valentina took 3 wickets and Megnoria Kh fetched 2 wickets.
