The Manipur Cricket Association has mourned the sudden demise of its former joint secretary Thongbam Shyamchandra Singh at his residence at Thangmeiband, Imphal West.

The MNCA in statement  said that the late Shyamchandra alias Javed who has served as chairman of Umpire Committee had associated with the MNCA for more than a decade and half and his contribution towards the development of modern cricket in the state shall always be remembered with reverence.

His sudden demise had left a large void in the cricketing fraternity and the MNCA shared the grief of family members and friends at this hour of grief.
