YPHU Lalambung scored a 9-wicket win against SNC Sangaiprou in the ongoing 11th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2024 played at Langthabal Public Ground.
Romesh Chandra stood out among SNC batsmen as he struck 66 runs to put up 125 runs for 7 wickets from 20 overs in their inning. YPHU bowler Gyanranjan and Romio took 2 wickets each.
Chasing the target, YHPU lost the wicket of Boicha who made 52 runs, while Alai got an unbeaten 38 runs and Hemanta too remained not out with 27 runs to achieve victory in 12 overs. YPHU batsman Boicha took the ‘Man of the Match’ title for his 52 runs and 1 wicket.
Shadow Thangmeiband also registered a 43 run win against YUCC Kwakeithel Moirangpurel. Shadow made 179 runs for 3 wickets while YUCC could manage 136 runs for 6 wickets from 20 overs. Shadow batsman Dhaneshor bagged the ‘Man of the Match’ title for his unbeaten 92 runs.
