Manipur claimed Team Champion title of the Thang-Ta event bagging 11 medals, including 9 gold in Khelo India Youth Games 2021 held at Panchkula, Haryana.
Manipur U-18 girls collected 5 gold and 1 silver medals while in U-18 boys, they picked up 4 gold and 1 silver medals for the Team Champion title.
In the U-18 Girls, Assam took the first Runners Up title while Delhi got the second Runners Up while in the U-18 Boys category, Assam got the first Runners up while Jammu & Kashmir fetched the second Runners Up title.
Manipur Girls who claimed the gold medals in the Thang-Ta events are Y Pinky Devi in 52kg, Kh Priyangka Chanu in 56kg of Phunaba Ama, K Thaja Chanu in 52kg of Phunaba Anisuba, Chandani Sunar in Thanglon & Khonglon-Khutlon and L Sophiya Chanu in Thang-Haibi.
The boys who delivers gold for Manipur are M Thoisana Singh in Phunaba Anisuba 56kg, Dijen Sagolsem in Thang-Haibi, L Bishal Sharma in 56kg and M Arbin Meitei in 60kg of Phunaba Ama. The two silver medals were claimed by A Lanchenba Singh in Thanglon & Khonglon-Khutlon and K. Merina Devi in 56kg of Phunaba Anisuba.
Apart from it, Manipur wrestler Y Victor Singh also claimed the gold medal in 65kg category of Greco Roman Style and cyclist Kh Rahul Singh also bagged a gold medal in 200 meter Sprint Race with a timing of 10.852 seconds.
