UTA Yumnam Leikai claimed the overall Team Champion title in the 33rd Manipur State Taekwondo Championship 2024 organised by All Manipur Taekwondo Association at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak.
UTA finished with 24 gold, 28 silver and 40 bronze medals, picking up 5435 points for the overall title. PTA took the first Runners Up title with 15 gold, 6 silver and 18 bronze for 2638 points and NSA Imphal got the second Runners Up title, winning 13 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals for 2212 points.
The top spot in the senior category, both in male and female, was claimed by UTA while PTA took the second spot. As for the Junior Boys and Girls category, NSA Imphal were crowned Champion while UTA took the Runners Up title.
The Cadet Boys top spot was taken by LTA units while SAI got the Runners Up title. For the girls category, UTA fetched the Champion title while NSA Imphal got the Runners Up title.
In the Sub Junior Girls, UTA took the Champion title while PTA fetched the Runners Up. As for the Boys category, PTA bagged the Champion title while UTA settled for the Runners Up title.
The closing ceremony was graced by former World Champion and Arjuna Awardee & SP(Sports), Laishram Sarita Devi along with CMO, Imphal East, Dr L Indira Devi who gave away the prizes to the teams.
