Dimapur Road Athletic Organisation, Sekmai rode off with 4-0 goals win against Anouba Imagi Mangal, Khabam in the 15th Manipur State League 2022 played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
The MSL season brought cheer to the ranks of Dimapur Road Athletic as they wrested a formidable team to tatters to pick up three crucial points.
Oinam Malemnganba Meitei showed his maturity when he came up with the opening goal in the 16th minute and moments later made scoring look easy when he netted home his second goal in the 19th minute, much to the dismay of its opponent.
Anouba Imagi Mangal seemed to lose their touch in the game as nothing fructifies for them, despite the chances they have got. With their morale high, DM Rao team made further inroads when skipper M Kabiraj Sharma made a powerful volley in the 69th minute and later Ng Imarson Meitei wrapped up the game with the fourth goal in the 73rd minute for the morale boosting victory.
DM Rao players M Kabiraj, Ng Imarson and AIM player N James Singh got yellow cards in the match for rough play.
In the other match, Khetri Iril Mapal Youth Club beat NISA Thangmeiband by a solitary goal to collect 3 points as well. Somison Shirak fetched the winning goal for the KIYC team in the 38th minute. Three KIYC players L Chingkheinganba, Ng Naocha, M Lunminlen Haokip and NISA player Satgoulal Touboi were yellow carded in the game.
