AKSA Kakching Khunou got the better of SFC Sugnu by 2-1 goals in the 20th Kishorekumar Memorial First Division Football League 2023-24 played at DSA Kakching Ground.

SFC Sugnu gained possession of the ball for most of the first half with M Luhen providing the lead in the 12th minute. However, just before the whistle, Kh Amuthoi managed to level the score with his goal in the 45th+1 minute.

But good fortune prevailed for AKSA in the 60th minute when Th Tomthinganba drove home the winning goal to progress in the meet. Three AKSA players Victor, Ronaldo, Badal and SFC player Ronald got yellow cards in the match.

Thoi Singh broke the deadlock for Marjing FC in the 31st minute of the game to enjoy the lead. Consolidating the position, Sobha chipped in a goal in the 51st minute and Jenis netted another in the 62nd minute, making the matter worse for the Z-Pro team. However, their only solace came from Clinton, who made the lone goal in the 63rd minute.

Keishamthong Kangkhut wins

Keishamthong Kendra Kangkhut struck hard with 19-4 points win against Thongju Kendra Kangkhut in the 1st Kakchingtabam Kunjabi Sharma Memorial League cum Knockout Kendra Wise Kang Tournament 2024 sponsored by K Ajitkumar Sharma which resumed at Singjamei Kangshang.

Keishamthong Kangkhut dominated the game with 8-2 points in the first half and later with 11-2 points for the victory. Nambol Kendra Kangkhut will face Oinam Kendra Kangkhut in a match on Monday.

YKL team feted 

The YLK Chingarel Tezpur handball team were feted by its officials for achieving maximum success in State Level as well National Tournament in the current session.

The YLK team settled for the Runners Up title for the Boys in the National Mini Championship and bagged the overall Team Champion title from Mini to Senior in State Level Championship 2024.

Apart from it, N Nelsson Meetei on several occasions has been conferred the Best goalkeeper in Sub Junior and Junior Boys category. Women players who won several Best Player titles were also commended during the reception.    

FIFA Player Transfer Course in Miami

The FIFA International Player Transfer Course (2nd edition) for ISL and I-League Clubs will be held at Miami, USA from December 4-6.

The Admission process is open from June 12 to August 30. The course is designed for any club's Manager/TMS Manager who operates and manages international transfers, regardless of their actual position or academic background. Travel and accommodation expenses are to be incurred by the participants themselves.

AMFA Cup from June 19

The 3rd AMFA Cup 2023-24 is slated to begin from Wednesday at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Ten teams namely YDO Heinoukhongnembi, AFC Angtha, FCIC Kongba, YWC Thambalkhong, GDC Thinungei in Group A and ESU Wangkhei, IFA Lamphel, UPAA Kiyamgei, AMOFA Moirang and XI-Star SU Akampat in Group B will compete in the tournament.

The opening match will have AFC Angtha taking on GDC Thinungei at 1 pm while IFA Lamphel will meet XI-Star at 3 pm. AMFA has also named S Jameskumar Singh as Convenor to lead a thirty six-membered match panel officials.
