Manipur Sports Snippets: State Jeet-Kune-Do players bag 13 medals

Eleven players from Manipur, including two females, participated in the International Jeet-Kune-do Championship which was held at Pattaya Sports Complex, Thailand from July 18-20.

Manipur Jeet-Kune-Do players bag 11 Gold and 2 Silver medals from the International Jeet-Kune-do Championship which was held at Pattaya Sports Complex, Thailand from July 18-20.

Eleven players, including two females, participated in the championship along with M Ibomcha who is Team Coach, India. Players Ch Ningthem Singh, Anushree Rajkumar and M Linthoi Chanu were also conferred with the best fighters’ title in the meet.

Hockey India selection

Hockey India has selected Niraj Kumar Waribam to attend Junior Men TOPS NCOE Training at National Centre of Excellence, SAI Bengaluru from July 27 to October 31, 2022. Niraj Kumar has to report to Coach CR Kumar at SAI, Netaji Subhas Southern Centre, Mysore Road, Bengaluru on July 27.

Hnahringkhu win in Super Division League

Hnahringkhu YC beat Kapaam DC by 2-1 goals in the opening match of the ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division Football League 2022 organised by DSA Chandel at Liwa Sarei Ground.

RD Kolni and JS Alower scored a goal each for Hnahringkhu YC while the lone goal for Kapaam was fetched by Lian Kapaam players Morenthar.  Rungden and Hnahringkhu player SR Mika got yellow cards in the match. In tomorrow's matches, Anbilish TFC will take on New Wangparel YC in the first match while Tampi FC will face Liwa Sarei YC in the second match.
