Manipur registered 125 runs win over Meghalaya in the Men's U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy 2021-22 (Day 4) played at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneshwar.
On the fourth day play, Meghalaya resumed their second innings with skipper Kevin Christopher making his century, hitting 102 runs from 137 balls while wicketkeeper Bharali fetched 47 runs to manage 186 runs for 9 wickets from 57.4 overs.
Manipur skipper Jotin Pheiroijam claimed 6 wickets for 79 runs from 22.4 overs while Kadamjit fetched 2 wickets for 32 runs from 13 overs and Somokanta got 1 wicket for 16 runs from 8 overs.
It can be mentioned that Manipur in their first innings put up 197 runs for 10 wickets from 62.5 overs and in the second innings, they piled up 344 runs for 10 wickets from 118.3 overs.
Manipur skipper Jotin Pheiroijam contributed 131 runs in first innings and 178 runs in the second innings. He also captured 6 wickets while Kadamjit claimed 7 wickets among the bowlers.
Meghalaya in their reply could bat 230 runs for 10 wickets from 63.2 overs in the first innings and made another 186 runs for 9 wickets from 57.4 overs in the second innings, thus losing by 125 runs to Manipur.
