Bishnupur district claimed three Gold medals in the Weightlifting event of Manipur Olympic Games 2022 held at SAI Takyelpat, Imphal, Manipur.
In the Women 55kg category, L Nilam Devi of Bishnupur claimed the gold medal with a total lift of 166kg while Kuichangliu Gangmei of Tamenglong with 142kg and L Roshni Devi of Imphal East with 132kg fetched the silver and bronze medals.
Bishnupur two other gold medals were fetched by Chinglenmani Meitei in Mens 61kg with a total lift of 230kg while in the 73kg, N Surchandra Singh claimed the third gold with a total lift of 235kg.
In the Women 49kg, Kh Roshibina of Thoubal claimed the gold with 156kg while K Nomita Devi of Imphal East with 149kg and Th Sanju of Thoubal with 148kg took the silver and bronze medals. Imphal West weightlifter N Tompok won the gold medal in Men's 55kg with a total lift of 225kg.
EQUESTRIAN: Thoudam Tanna Devi bags gold medal in Women Tent Pegging
Kh Deventy Devi of Imphal East and I Sangita Devi of Imphal West took the silver and bronze medals. As for the Tent Pegging Women Team event, Imphal East District took the champion title while Imphal West District fetched the Runners Up title.

BADMINTON: The mixed team event championship title of the Badminton Bishnupur District Badminton Association played at Indoor Hall, DM University.
Imphal West District Badminton Association took the Runners Up title while KDBA took the third spot, Imphal East District BA, Jiribam District BA, Ukhrul District BA and Senapati District BA finished in the respective order.
ATHLETICS: A Sai Chanu of Imphal West grabbed the gold medal in the 5000 meter race of 2nd Manipur Olympic Games 2020 held at SAI Takyelpat.
Imphal West compatriot T Rusia and Kh Anjana of Thoubal settled for silver and bronze medals. The gold medal winners of the day are H Agaopulou of Senapati in Men's 5000 meter, Kushal Augustus of Senapati in Long Jump Men, O Alson of Thoubal in Shot Put Men, A Anjita of Imphal East in Long Jump Women.

FENCING: Imphal West fencer Y Givson claimed the gold medal in Men's Sabre event held at SAI Takyelpat.
The silver medal of the event was bagged by Th Mexi of Imphal East while W Satish of Imphal East and Th Ajithkumar of Thoubal fetched the bronze medals.
In the Men's Epee event, N Sandhiraj of Imphal East took the gold medal while Ch.Prithiviraj of Imphal West bagged the silver, H Sushilkumar of Imphal West and S Chinglemba of Imphal East collects the bronze medals.
L Khusboorani delivered another gold medal for Imphal West in the Women's Foil event while M Mina of Imphal East fetched the silver, N Dayarani of Imphal East and W Sonia of Kakching took the bronze medals.
