Manipur beats Arunachal Pradesh by 8 wickets in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Arunachal Pradesh proceeded to bat first but had a horrifying time as five of their batsmen got out with just 6 runs on the board.

Manipur posted an 8 wickets win against Arunachal Pradesh in the Senior Men's Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22 played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Arunachal Pradesh proceeded to bat first but had a horrifying time as five of their batsmen got out with just 6 runs on the board. However middle order batsman Nazeeb Saiyed took control of the game to some extent, hitting 47 runs while RB Bishnoi Jr got 25 runs and Akhilesh Sahani made 26 runs to put up 116 runs for 10 wickets from 45 overs.

Bishorjit Singh was the most successful bowler for Manipur, picking up 5 wickets for 11 runs from 10 overs while Johnson bagged 3 wickets for 24 runs and Thomas picked up 1 wicket.

Chasing the target, Manipur reached the mark in 23.4 overs losing 2 wickets with Johnson remaining not out with 39 runs while Langlonyamba too remain unbeaten with 19 runs. Skipper Narsing Yadav made 20 runs. Arunachal Pradesh bowler Akhilesh and Manav Patel claimed 1 wicket each.
