The newly created locality Enjakhup veng and Nanglhun veng won their respective opponents in under-15 football and main football as Ahsijolneng veng and Moltinchan Veng A team entered women’s volleyball semifinal while Jonlhing veng entered men’s semifinal in the ongoing 18th Kangpokpi Inter Ward Tournament 2022 yesterday at Brigadier M. Thomas ground, Kangpokpi.
In under-15 football, Nanglhun veng had an easy 3-0 win over Moltinchan Veng to lock horn in the first semifinal match with Ahsijolneng veng on January 29.
In women’s volleyball third quarterfinal match, Ahsijolneng veng defeated Kholmun 3-2 (20-21, 21-15, 21-19, 17-21, 15-13) to clash with Khupting veng in the first semifinal match while Moltinchan Veng A team defeated Ngambom veng B team 3-1 (21-14, 21-4, 15-21, 21-8) to clash with Jonlhing veng in the second semifinal match.
In men’s volleyball last quarterfinal match, Jonlhing veng had an easy 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-15) win over Ngambom Veng to clash with Tintong Veng in the second semifinal match as Dr. GG. Crozier Mission Compound will play Chengjapao Veng in the first semifinal match.
Both matches of veteran football between Sipinthei veng and Lamdil veng in the first match and Enjakhup veng and Vengthah in the second match ended in a goalless draw.
In main football, Lamdil veng and Moltinchan veng ended in a goalless draw in the first match while Enjakhup veng had a narrow 3-2 win over Tintong veng in the second match. Manglun (6th), Letlal (42nd) and Lamgoulal (59th) scored for Enjakhup side while Tilkho (37th) and Lamgoulal (44th) scored for Tintong side.
Under-15 football, men's and women's semifinals matches were postponed since today owing to unfavorable weather.
In today's veteran football, Kilkhong veng defeated Dr. GG. Crozier Mission Compound 2-0. Thanglet (11th) and Ngulmang (18th) score for the Kilkhong side.
In the second veteran match, Ahsijolneng had an easy 4-1 win over Tintong veng. Jangchon (7th, 24th), Hengam (1,6th), and Letsei (28th OG) score for Ahsijolneng while Doujapao (34th) score the solitary goal of Tintong.
In main football, Sipinthei veng had an easy 8-0 win over Ahsijolneng veng. Lunjangam (4th), Ngamgunlen (10th, 36th), Sehkholun (12th OG), Lunsanglen (18th, 21st, 40th), Lallenmang (28th) scored for Sipinthei veng.
The second main football played between Ngambom veng and Kilkhong veng ended in a 2-2 draw. Seibem had a brace for his team Ngambom in the 26th and 56th minute while Lungin had a similar brace for Kilkhong side in the 20th and 54th minute.
Tomorrow, in veteran, football, Phungtin veng will play Ngambom veng in the first match while Moltinchan veng will play Zaphal veng in the second match.
In main football, Lendou veng will play Sipinthei veng in the first match while Chengjapao veng will play Nanglhun veng in the second match.

Women's League from Saturday
The 12th AMFA Senior Women's Football League 2021-229(Pre-Qualifying Round for Indian Women League) will resume from January 29 at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.
There will be three matches of the day featuring ESU Wangkhei taking on KRYPSA Naoremthong while MPSC Police HQ to face ICSA Irengbam and WFA Kakching to meet YWC Langthabal.
Kapaam and Flyers win in 1st Chandel Christian Village Cup 2022
FC Kapaam beat Cheengkhu YC by 2-1 goals in the 1st Chandel Christian Village Cup 2022 played at District Sports Complex, Chandel. Lian and Kenphasa scored a goal each for Kapaam team while Robert fetched the lone goal for Cheengkhu in the second half. Kapaam player Angshankar and Cheengkhu player Robert got a yellow card in the match. In the other match, Flyers FC beat Y.Khutha YC by 4-2 goals during penalty shoot out after normal time ended in a goalless draw. For the Flyers team, Marvin, Dingku, Ludong, Thoiba scored while Yaisu wasted his kick. Y Khutha converted two goals from Dampu and Anthony while Samugi, Mohring shots were off target for the defeat.
