The United Saparmeina Youth Club (USYC) had a heavy tumble in the hands of Tintong Football Club as Manggallung Memorial Team (MMT) and Phat Chomkhat Sporting Club (PCSC) won their respective opponent in the ongoing KFA's Open Night Football Tournament on Wednesday evening at D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi district.
It came to be a big surprise and upset for the USYC fans that it had to suffer a 0-3 loss to Tintong FC as USYC has always been one of the best teams among the 55 teams in the tournament.
Tintong FC maintaining its unbeaten record after thrashing United Sipijang Junior 5-0 had another brilliant 3-0 win over USYC with goals from Gougin (14'), Lamgoulun (26'), and Thangboilen (53').
In the second match, debutant Manggallung Memorial Team had a dazzling start by drubbing Young Player's Sporting Club (YPSC), Saparmeina 4-1 earning its winning account in the tourney.
After Paominlun's early 8th-minute opener for the Manggallung memorial team, his teammate Khupngullen found a hat trick in the 12th, 31st, and 54th minute while Hengouhao could manage to pull back a goal in the 24th minute for the Saparmeina side.
In the third match, Phat Chomkhat Sporting Club (PCSC) had a narrow 2-1 win over Saitu Gamphazol Area Youth Organization (SGAYO). It was the Saitu Gamphazol side who first found the opener in the 20th minute through Ginminlal but PCSC quickly equalized with Limminthang's 22nd minute strike before Letgoulen found the winning goal in the 60th minute.
