Khohen Vahneng Memorial Team (KVMT) drubbed Nemkholam Memorial Team 2-1 while Nanao Memorial Team (NMT) thrashed Abai Baitoh Football Club 2-0 as LK Memorial Team Leilon held the host team D Phaihel Youth Club in the ongoing KFA's Open Night Football Tournament at D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi district.
Khohen Vahneng Memorial Team found the opener in the 26th minute through Thengoulal's strike before Gugun doubled the lead in the 40th minute while Nemkholam Memorial Team could only pull back a goal with Lunminlal's 50th-minute goal.
In the second match, LK Memorial Team, Leilon held the host team D. Phaihel Youth Club after Jangtinlal equalized D. Phaihel Youth Club Mimin's 33rd-minute goal in the 38th-minute.
In the third match, Nanao Memorial Team (NMT) overwhelmed Abai Baitoh FC 2-0 with goals from Paoginmon (42'), and Vumminlen (49'). Earlier on October 11 evening, Chalbung FC defeated FC Pangjang 3-1, Gamnom Saparmeina Youth Club had a 0-2 loss in the hands of Chalwa Youth Club and TYPOM Maohing thumped JSYC 2-1.
On October 12 evening, Ekou Mulam beat Saitu Gamphazol Area Youth Organization (SGAYO) 2-0, Manggallung Memorial Team defeated JSFT 3-1, United Sipijang Junior held United Saparmeina Youth 1-1, and Phat Chomkhat SC and Gorkha FC also had a goalless draw.
After the league round on Friday evening, 32 teams from more than 55 participating teams will qualify for the knockout stage (round of 32).
