The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has distributed team uniforms and kits to the Manipur squad who will participate in the Hero Women's Junior (U-17) National Football Championship 2022 which will be held at Guwahati, Assam from June 18 till July 4.
As many as 34 teams are participating in the championship where Manipur is placed along with Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh in Group A.
Manipur will play their first match against Uttarakhand on June 22 and will face Andhra Pradesh on June 24 and meet Jharkhand in their last league on June 26.
The playing member are Th Linthoinganbi Chanu, N Sangbanabi Devi, Th Shakhenbi Devi as Goalkeeper while Kh Sanamija Chanu, Y Anjali Chanu, Kh Rebina Chanu, S Mekola Devi, Th Bhumika Devi, I Sonibiya Devi and K Priyangka as Defender.
The Midfielder are M Jeena Chanu, Ipham Romina Begum, Kimte Lingjel, Th Sanjita Devi, U Luxmi Devi, T Thoibisana Devi, M Sanjana Canu while in Forward are O Babita Devi, H Linthoi Devi and Kh Bhumika Devi.
The AMFA has named Th Kunjanganbi Chanu as Manager while Rk Janakibala Devi as Coach and Th Jiten Singh as team official and will leave for Guwahati on Saturday.
Meanwhile, AMFA informed that Hyderabad Football Club is conducting Football Trials for the U-13,U-15 and U-18 players of Manipur at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong from June 20-22. Players shall be only from Clubs/Academy/School levels and must come along with two passport sized photographs, Birth Certificate and Aadhaar Card or Passport.
