Heirok FC moves to final in style beating Brothers FC by 4-0 goals in the 1st Maipakpi Memorial Trophy 2022 Nine A Side State Level Men's Open Football Tournament organised by Mangal Foundation Heirok at City Club Playground, Heirok.
The second semi final saw the host team Heirok FC did not let down their home crowd as they made several attempts until Kabiraj fetched the opening goal in 8 minute of play. Swiftly, Heirok increased their tally with L. Roshan getting the second goal in 16 minute to dominate the first half by 2-0 goals.
Despite facing the odds against playing a home favourite team, Brothers FC tried to force back in the game but failed to yield any result. Instead it was Heirok who put more pressure on his opponent with Johnson scoring the third goal in 42 minute and later L Roshan picked up his second goal in 52 minute for the victory today.
Heirok FC goalkeeper Dina Singh was adjudged the Man of the Match. The organiser also released a theme song for the Maipakpi Memorial Trophy sung by Raj Elangbam and Kajal Laishram.
Three Brothers FC players Chongmei, Peter, Taibanganba and Heirok FC players Kabiraj, Kishan received yellow cards in the match.
Heirok FC will take on Yairipok FC in the final match, which date is yet to be announced.
