Force Kshetrigao boosted its confidence by beating KIYC Kshetrigao by 66 runs in the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2023-24 played at Model & Oriental College Ground.
Force Kshetrigao faced early hiccups losing 4 wickets for 46 runs after they opted to bat first. However Md Kabir made the gradual recovery of his team making an unbeaten 43 runs while Saddam Ahmed Shah made 18 runs, to pile up 126 runs for 10 wickets from 18.5 overs.
KIYC skipper Mohammad Abdulla Khan was quite sharp in his bowling, claiming 5 wickets for 14 runs for 3.5 overs while Akip Zensi and A Mangesh took 2 wickets each.
Chasing the target, KIYC batsmen were reeling under constant pressure from Force bowlers with middle order batsman Akip Zensi, braving the heat, to score 17 runs but sadly had to be castled out for 60 runs for 10 wickets from 15.3 overs.
Force bowler Tashib Alam bagged 3 wickets while Saddam Ahmed Shah and Md Kabir Ahmed fetched 2 wickets each. Force batsman Md Kabir bagged the Man of the Match award.
MPA Thounaojam fetched their first win beating THAU Thangmeiband by 13 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal. Playing their fourth match, MPA put up 120 runs for 5 wickets while in reply, THAU could manage just 107 runs for 10 wickets from 19.3 overs. MPA batsman Th Joychandra took the Man of the Match for his 61 runs.
In the match played at Lairenjam Public Ground, MPSC Manipur Central Jail pulled off their fourth win beating YPHUC Lalambung by 148 runs. MPSC scored 185 runs for 10 wickets from 18.3 overs. In reply, YPHUC crumbled for 37 runs for 10 wickets from 9 overs. MPSC bowler Indraban S Koijam was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 6 wickets.
NCA Ningthoukhong picked up their first win beating OSCAR Paona Bazar by 9 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Luwangsangbam. NCA made 154 runs for 1 wickets and in reply, OSCAR made 145 runs for 6 wickets from 20 overs. NCA batsman Karamchand claimed the Man of the Match for his 70 runs.
