Thoubal pugilist Elangbam Thoicha Devi boxed her way to the champion title beating Bandana Devi of Kakching in the Youth (Women) 48kg in the State Level Boxing Championship 2023 held at Boxing Ring, Khuman Lampak.
In the other Youth (Women) final matches, M Luxmi Devi of Kakching beat Venika Yumnam Chanu of Bishnupur in 50 kg, H Karuna Devi of Thoubal beat S. Helena of Imphal West in 52 kg and N Manda Chanu of Thoubal beat Kh Sarju Devi of Imphal West in 54 kg to claim the champion title as well.
As for the Youth (Men), H Rishi Mangang of Imphal West beat Md Mujahid of Bishnupur in 48 kg to bag the title while S Yoihenba of Bishnupur beat Kh Biken of Imphal West in 71 kg fetched the champion title.
In the Junior Girls final, Menaka Sharungbam of Imphal East in 54kg, Y Rakhi Devi of Kakching in 57kg, Y Niha Devi of Kakching in 60kg and Nimsolan Khapai Shimrah of Ukhrul in 63kg claimed the champion title.
Amaraj Wahengbam of Bishnupur got the better of Thokchom Thoiba Singh of Thoubal to clinched the champion title in Junior Boys 46 kg category.
