The DSA Chandel has congratulated Thumsol Tongsin upon his selection to represent India in the 5th SAFF U-19 Championship 2023 to be held in Nepal from September 21-30.
Tongsin, son of one Ts Kohmanshing, hails from of Chandel Christian village, Manipur.

The championship, organised by South Asian Football Federation, has Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Pakistan.
India is the defending champion, winning the title in 2019 and 2022. Nepal also won the championship on two occasions - in 2015 and 2017.
